Muriel Böres

At the age of ten, when I first placed my hands on a piano, I fell in love with the instrument. For many years, I had the privilege of studying classical piano, ragtime and boogie with a private teacher and participated in competitions up to the concert diploma level. Although I was earmarked to become a concert pianist at the age of 14, fate guided me down a different path. I pursued extensive vocal training at the Centre de Danse du Marais in Paris, where I also assisted and temporarily replaced my vocal teacher. Subsequently, I undertook a year-long jazz piano course at BEPA (Bill Evans Piano Academy), followed by jazz workshops, rhythm classes, and lyrical singing lessons.

Music has become an integral part of my life.

I decided to offer private piano & singing lessons, as well as teaching in schools. Concurrently, I embarked on a career as a pianist-vocalist, performing solo, in duo, trio and quartet. My performances, characterized by jazz, soul and pop, took place in restaurants, luxury hotels, concert venues, and at corporate & private events. My desire to learn, discover, and evolve led me to join the DOKONON group, an Antillean-Guyanese orchestra sponsored by Radio MEDIATROPICAL, as a pianist & backing vocalist.

For years, I also worked as a piano accompanist for French and International artists, musical theater performers, and contestants from Star Academy and Nouvelle Star. This experience was profoundly enriching and allowed me to expand my skill set.

The positive feedback from clients, executives, students and artists with whom I have built strong relationships, has further fueled my passion for continuing on this path and sharing my love for music.
